Dear Jelutong Voters,


After the general election (308), Gerakan has lost their Jelutong Parliament seat, as well as 3 State seats, these defeat also make us difficult to serve you all. Although we do not get your entrust, but we never lose our heart, on the contrary, we will review our service even better for the welfare of the people.



In such transitional period, if you need our assistance, we will be more than happy to assist in whatever capacity we could. You can continue to contact our former representatives or our Gerakan Headquarters Complaints Bureau, we assure we will do our best.


We understand that changes in the political environment as a whole, we also realize the reasons behind our defeat. We will review the pledge in the past, the new starting point, we will continue toward the party's goal for Malaysian to set up the Malaysia goal. We believe that in the near future, we will all be re-commissioned.

亲爱的日落洞区选民大家好！

自从308大选之后，民政党失去了日落洞选区内的1个国会议席以及3个州议席，我们的败选也使到我们失去了服务日落洞选民的机会。

虽然我们不获得选民的委托，但是我们不会因为这样而气馁，反之，我们会检讨自己，更努力的为人民争取福利。

在这个过渡时期，如果选民需要我们，我们还是很乐意的协助大家。你们可以继续联络我们的前代议士或是到民政党总部投诉局，我们将尽力而为。

我们了解到整个政治环境的转变，我们也理解到我们败选的原因。我们誓言将会检讨过去，从新出发，继续朝向我党的目标前进，为成立马来西亚人的马来西亚目标努力。我们相信，不久的将来，我们将会从新得到大家都委托。

2008 AGM RESOLUTIONS

BAHAGIAN JELUTONG, PULAU PINANG

2008 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (20/07/2008)




Resolution #1

Urge the federal government to continue the implementation of Monorail & PORR for the benefits of economic development and to resolve the traffic congestion problem in Penang.


吁请中央政府继续推展轻快铁和槟城外环公路的工程计划以促进槟州的经济发展及舒缓交通拥挤现象。



Resolution #2

Urge the state government to stop blaming and politicking but instead to concentrate on the economic development of the state by disclosing their economic development blueprint for Penang state.


吁请槟州政府停止推卸责任及玩弄政治的把戏。反之应认真关注州内的经济发展，并尽快推出槟州发展大蓝图。



Resolution #3

Urge the state government to take immediate steps to implement the local government election as promised in their election manifesto.


吁请槟州政府尽快落实大选宣言，即执行地方政府选举。.



Resolution #4

Urge the state authorities to take concrete steps to improve the public transport system in the state by negotiating with the Federal government for authority in the management and operations of the bus system by the state.


促请州政府采取积极步骤以提升州内的公共交通，并与中央政府洽谈以转移公共交通服务的管理和操作的权力予州政府。



Resolution #5

The recent fuel price hike has burdened the livelihood of the people. Jelutong Division urges the local councils to adopt suitable measures including reducing the assessment rate of all residential & commercial premises and the rental of public houses owned by local councils in order to alleviate the hardship faced by the people.


最近的汽油涨价已加重了人民的生活负担。民政党日落洞区部吁请市政局采取适当的步骤，包括减低住宅和商业用途的门牌税，同时也减低市政局组屋的租金以减低人民的负担。
